Wet bikes @ Union Square

May 29, 2013

no riders

The bike share program (brought to you by that bank that has its name plastered all over every possible surface of the racks and bikes, what is it? Greetings from the Empire State

gray day

April has been really gray, hasn’t it? Or do I think that every time the sun is behind a cloud? No matter, I have great hopes for the may flowers, and how large and colorful they are going to be.

April 19, 2013

This is what all business men used to look like. In some parts of the city this uniform is more common than in others. These two are definitely part of the same tribe and speaking the same language.

Waiting in shade with flowers

May 30, 2012

I wanted to see the rest of the story, if the flowers were about to be presented to someone. But yesterday was hot and I wanted to be out of the sun, away from the heatwaves coming off the sidewalk.

Chance of showers

May 3, 2012

The weather forecasters said it would be sunny with a slight chance of showers this week, but what they meant was, carry your umbrella all the time and the sun might peek out for a secod or two, and tomorrow will be gray and MUGGY.

3 friends

We would know they were together without the arms being linked. Look at the cuffed jeans, jackets, patterned scarves, and hair. I like the mirror aviator sunglasses – very retro.

Holding up the building

April 19, 2012

NYC is almost in a drought. For a change, rain will be welcome; it’s disappointing to have a gray day with no precipitation.

August in April

April 17, 2012

Yesterday was freaky hot, 88 degrees. Some found appropriate clothes to wear, but many were wandering the sidewalks like cranky babies. It was too hot, too early.
