April has been really gray, hasn’t it? Or do I think that every time the sun is behind a cloud? No matter, I have great hopes for the may flowers, and how large and colorful they are going to be.

Ghost of the Empire State Building

There’s so much wrong with this picture. The sun is setting on the bottom half and the top is over-exposed. On the other hand, there’s that quirky apartment building with all the balconies and the Empire State Building. Hard to see and looking like a pillar of marble, it’s still the star of the photo.

The Empire State Building makes an appearance. For a large building, it tends to hide behind others in Midtown. At sidewalk level, the sun’s been incredibly bright during the mini heatwave this week.

what's wrong with this picture

Maybe it’s all connected to global warming, but seasonal confusion is all around. Baseball wraps up in November, and Christmas decorations are up before Halloween. The Empire State Building has Yankee colors on display, and the first of Macy’s Christmas trees is all lit up on 34th Street. I don’t understand.
