This summer @ MOMA’s sculpture garden

German sculptor Katharina Fritsch’s “Group of Figures” (Figurengruppe) resists specific interpretation. Figures include St. Michael slaying a dragon, a giant with a club, the Virgin Mary looking like a souvenir candle, and a black snake. Viewers seem to like the sculpture, or they are confused and offended by the grouping.
