Dinner in a can

The food aisle at Duane Reade baffles me. Most of the store is shampoo, toothpaste, pain relievers, gum, candy, etc., then there are things to eat. While there are a few hotels and apartment buildings in the area, and offices, of course, I’m not sure who is buying stew and tomato products.
