Walking down the sidewalk in a shoe-scraping skirt while taking snapshots is about as dangerous as talking and texting, it’s just less common. There’s a drama happening in the background here, between the women and the man by the street.

When I’m wandering around the city I like to take pictures of people taking pictures, especially when the subject is mundane. My guess is that this girl snapped a photo of the intersection of Sixth Avenue, with a little bit of Bryant Park at the top.

They ignored the lion

Tourists had a photo session in front of the public library on Fifth Avenue. The library’s trademark lion sculpture sits nearby while the adults pose the teens in front of construction scaffolding.
