Office workers are obsessed with food. When the weather is bad, they really turn their attention to snacks: where to procure them, choosing between sweet or salty, greasy or healthy, and how much to buy and spend. It’s truly a full-time job.
Pedestrians come and go at this major intersection, and so do the restaurants. Rue 57 has been there for a few years. People I know who have dined there are not effusive; they usually say something along the lines of, “It will do.”
