An unusually warm day – a fine occasion to get out and enjoy the city.

Bright afternoons like this, everything in the sun looks crisp and surreal.

The scaffolding by the buildings at the corner of 57th Street and 6th Avenue is coming down. It’s a clanging, busy scene that you’ll definitely want to rush through.

Another gray day. Puts me in the mood for black and white. So warm there’s no need for gloves – no complaining about that.

This season, for women, it’s all about boots. The style, height, or heel doesn’t really matter, as long as they are called boots.

This man adds layers of gray for warmth. He’s walking past America’s Largest TGI Friday restaurant. He has yet to figure out what to do with his hands in this chilly weather.

This park looks rather desolate in winter, but four months from now tables and chairs will be set up and water will be falling around the passageway.

The winter sun can be both welcome and blindingly bright at the same time. There may be snow this weekend, but probably not enough to require sensible footwear.

How is it that everyone else seems prepared when the temperature bottoms out in the afternoon?
